Hey Thomas,

Nice round up! I'm eager to find some time to sort out processing my photos and writing a similar round up with my own thoughts, but things have gone quite busy here (finishing a short film by the 3rd June and I have a large web project to complete by the 7th). Something tells me I won't be getting too much sleep over the next two weeks.

I'll post on the #wcmy tag when I get round to it.

There's no doubt about my presentation that it was horrific. Personally, I felt nervous at first and the glitch and the error in my part added on to the tension.

I did not do my best in this presentation. But nevertheless, there are lessons to be learned as a speaker in case anyone of us has that golden opportunity.

The lesson is not to give presentation in powerpoint show format and to update all powerpoints before handing over the file and to go thru the slides on the actual big screen with the organising team members no matter what.

This maybe like "duh" but anything can happen and that unfortunate speaker was me.

Perhaps there maybe things like "oh, he's the speaker, he knows what to do..." but I think this can be avoided with assurance and checking from the organising team members to inform the speakers of any possible glitch or error on the speaker's side.

Just think of it this way then that in the next WordCamp Malaysia, this will not happen again because it has already happened to me and lessons learnt from all sides. To ignore this little embarassing glitch will be a mistake.

And yes, I will take this lesson with me and will be better next time. Thanks for being honest in your post!
