Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith

As the old saying goes, never judge a book by its cover and for this case never judge it by its title. I was skeptical when i first saw this book in the book store thinking it would be another type of those slapstick nonsensical book. However I was curious enough to flip randomly through the book and got kinda convinced that it should be a good read and no harm trying to read it. I was surprised after finishing the first chapter of Introduction and could never stop reading it. It is one of those book that I can finish in a matter of 2 to 3 days.

The author managed to entwine historical facts with fictionalize vampire account and make it believable. It started very well and builds momentum throughout the book until the very last chapter when Abe became the President. I do find the author was trying to rush the ending here and this would have made a 5 stars rating if he would spend more time characterizing Abe’s last chapter of his life.
