iPhone, a new way we see things

As I have mentioned earlier in my blog earlier, I am an avid photographer, and I spent a great amount of time lugging my heavy SLR with all the lenses around for my trip to capture the things I see. But lately, I have been trying out new things by putting my SLR aside and start to document things I see without any planning and the way to do it, is by having my iPhone around with me. It is an eye opener as I can capture the things around me as I walk around. I see something unique or an event, shoot it, post process it, and post it to the world to see all in a matter of minutes.

Some hardcore photographers may not agree with me on this as they still think by taking nice pictures you need the best of SLR and lenses but I see photography as an art. Not necessary to have huge megapixels counts, or fantastic sharpness especially when we are documenting things. I will leave SLR for studio and sports photography for now. But as a general kinda photography, honestly a compact or iPhone is more than enough. But iPhone will allow me to quickly post process the shots I have taken and post it to be share with family and friends as it happens, especially when I am in an events.

You might want to read this article or go to this site. Even photos taken with an iPhone can win awards. Is not about the camera I always said, is about how we see things and freeze it into a frame.
